CDE Student Ambassadors

Are you interested in diversity? Do you want to meet new people and share your knowledge of college life? Get involved with activities around campus: diversity related events, student panels for campus visits, and meeting UI faculty and staff? Become a role model? Then, become a CDE Student Ambassador. The program runs the whole academic year.

You are required to volunteer a minimum of 10 hours in the Academic Year 2009-2010 to be recognized as a Student Ambassador.

  • To provide prospective and current students with accurate information and knowledge of The University of Iowa’s academic programs, student services, and special opportunities.
  • To promote the Center for Diversity & Enrichment and The University of Iowa through contact with other students, parents and alumni.
  • To directly assist the Center for Diversity & Enrichment with retention programs that help current students make connections with the University of Iowa and the community.

There will be two activities for the student ambassadors:

Fall Training and Dinner: You are required to attend a mandatory training that will help you learn about the mission of our office as well as the services we provide. It would help you connect to our office and to other student ambassadors.
